FCAT and Tutoring Specialists of Florida, LLC was founded by Katie Madyun in October 2012. After graduating from Barry University, Madyun began teaching in Miami-Dade county. She fell in love with the classroom and her students immediately. Mrs. Madyun (then Ms. Turecki or Ms. "T" as her students called her ) tried everyday to come up with new strategies and creative lesson plans to not only help the students learn but to get them excited about learning. It was very frustrating to watch her students struggle. With the pressure of the FCAT, keeping up with their course load, preparing for college (applications, essays, resumes, ACT, SAT ) her students were stressed and exhausted. Mrs. Madyun then began offering tutoring during lunch and after school. It started with just a couple students but by the end of the school year her classroom was full. She was so proud of her students' extra effort and it really showed. After a few more years of teaching, including a summer overseas teaching the English language to children and adults in Italy. Ms. Turecki became Mrs. Madyun and welcomed a baby girl into the world. Being a mother was the best thing that ever happened to her but she missed her students and most of all she missed making a difference in the lives of many young adults. Then she thought back to those lunch time and after school sessions and FCAT and Tutoring Specialists of Florida, LLC was born.

FCAT and Tutoring Specialists of Florida, LLC offers all subject tutoring for all grade levels. Every tutor is a Florida Certified teacher. We work hard to help your child shine and regain the confidence they need to succeed. We pride ourselves in being that little extra push to help overcome the obstacle at hand.
