I currently offer in-home tutoring for special needs within the Boston area.
My current specialization and experience include middle school to high school student. I also work with undergraduate college students. I have extensive experience working withstudents on the Autism Spectrum.
Based on the principles of educational therapy my specialized tutoring focuses on the process of learning later than a specific content subject. We may focus on the remediation of reading, math, or writing skills but we also explore demystification and self advocacy of one's weaknesses. My goal is to empower your learning.
I offer support for executive functioning skills that include but are not limited to working memory, planning/organization and self-monitoring. We can work on study strategies, organization or memory.
I offer positive behavior support based on the ABC contingency and principles of applied behavior analysis. Transition services include training in self-advocacy, self-determination, transitional/vocational assessment, interdisciplinary planning and resource development.… Read more
