The rehab process was long and arduous. I wanted to give up several times, but I persevered and continued to work. My hard work and perseverance paid off. And I was able to compete in the long and triple jumps during my freshman year of college at the University of Georgia. Rehabilitation revealed my limited knowledge in nutrition and training smart, while also training hard. However, it deepened my desire to learn everything about healing the human body through good food and exercise, thus deepening my love for science. In 2021, I established Doc Desmond, LLC to share my passion for and knowledge of fitness, sports, science, and business.
