We have had indoor-only cats for decades, during much of this time Critter Sitters has looked after them in our absence. We always returned home to the cats and the house in perfect condition During our latest vacation, a cat monitor was left on to check the hostile interactions between our new kitten and our seven year old cat. It also captured images of the daily care visits. Soon after returning home, we emailed Critter Sitters our concerns about this latest pet sitting session, requested return of our house key and payment, and cancelled our future scheduled use of her services. She was prompt about returning the key and payment - in person - within 12 hours. We talked very candidly about her latest visits with our cats and what had transpired. She clearly understood why she would NEVER again look after our pets. Naive trust in a "home-service" provider - a nanny, pet sitter, eldercare, whatever - can be very misplaced. It was only the fortunate timing of an iPad upgrade, a "Manything.com" free app for monitoring the living room; and our hyperactive new kitten that our eyes were opened to what was happening in our home and to our new kitten.
Description of work:
Certainly NOT what she claimed she was doing in her daily notes on each day's 30 minute visit.
