Our long-haired Goldendoodle had matts under his chin and under one leg, but the rest of the hair on his body was unmatted. The owner (Barry?) said at drop-off that he would need to "shave the matts." I regularly use a matt removal tool on the dog, so I know how to get them out, which I do every few days. Instead of removing or shaving the matted areas and returning our dog to us in some semblance of his prior self, we were handed a 50 pound hairless rat. I told the owner/groomer that I believe he is lazy and takes the easiest course of action for himself, despite charging me $90 for this travesty. The cut from my first visit at this place turned out fine. But I should have followed my gut and never returned when I saw the owner/groomer leave a dog standing in its restraining collar on the grooming table and go into the back room even though the dog could have easily fallen with that around its neck. I won't go back, and if you use his business, don't say you weren't warned.
