Behavior Matters is a pediatric clinic located in Eagle River serving the Anchorage, Mat-Su valley and Juneau. We currently have 5 BCBA s. At Behavior Matters, each program is developed to help families with loved ones diagnosed with Developmental Delays, such as Autism, PPD or Asperger s Syndrome. The programs are developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analysts and utilizes the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to change behaviors and lives.All of Behavior Matters employees have experience and/or extensive education and training in the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. Many of our staff members are in school to become Board Certified. Each member of the Behavior Matters Team has been handpicked for their expertise, compassion and eagerness to serve families of children with developmental delays.

ABA is backed by over 40 years of research and is still considered to be the most effective treatment for dealing with behaviors associated with Autism.

Autism is a developmental disability defined by its symptoms. Characteristics of Autism include impairments in social interactions, impairments in communication and repetitive patterns of behavior. Autism is on the rise and increasing 10-17% each year. Scientific studies indicate that early intervention is the key to effective change.

Applied Behavior Analysis owes no affiliation with a particular intervention; rather it is a scientific problem-solving approach aimed at producing socially significant behavior changes for the purpose of improving quality of life for individuals, families and communities.
