While my older dog did fine at Barkzone while we were out of town, they didn't treat my puppy well at all. Only when I came to pick them up at the end of our vacation did they tell me my puppy "never settled in" and forced me to sign paperwork to say we would never bring him back (is this because they don't want to be liable for their mistake? I think it's probable with the rest of the behavior, which I will detail below). They had the phone numbers of both me and my husband, yet never called to say there was an issue in the whole eight days we were gone (we had multiple people in the area who would have been happy to relocate them, we could have tried their "pay a ton more and we will actually pay attention to your dog" extras, but no, not a peep from them all week). ALSO, they make you pay for a temperament screening, which they SAID both my dogs passed. While taking my dogs home, I felt scammed and overcharged, and my dog's seemed obviously relieved to be out of there. Then once I got home, I discovered my puppy had no voice. They had allowed him to bark himself completely hoarse over the week (probably kenneled very often which he isn't used to and they said they wouldn't do for extended periods). Second full day back and he can weakly squeak when playing. I'm never coming back here (not only because they forced me to sign something saying I wouldn't but also their customer service was atrocious and they did NOT care for my dogs the way they said they would). I warn anyone with a younger or more energetic or slightly shy dog to choose elsewhere. They only will accommodate dogs they deem perfect, and they will gouge you for money (no free or discount bath when they stay there over a week? yikes). I literally paid more money to board my dogs than I did for an AirBnB for the week. I don't know what these people think they're doing, but it's not properly caring for dogs.

EDIT: Sent a complaint message in (on their Facebook site) and was greeted with contradicting accounts and attempts to infantilize me. If they had been straight up with me maybe we could have worked it out, but I will be sure to pursue reviewing them properly even more places due to their immature, weak response.
