Aurora is a frightening place to see my brother go to. While at Aurora's Crisis House he described staff smoking in the house in front of him knowing that he wanted to but didn't have the money. When describing the food, things sounded good but other people staying at the house could easily touch it and occasionally would take it and put it in their room than they had more for later. My brothers biggest concern is with the COVID-19 pandemic and the manager at the house not continuing to ensure his safety. When mentioning things that are allowing germs to spread, the house manager tells him to leave them alone and usually smokes another cigarette in front of him.
I hope others don't have to go through what my brother has been. Hopefully Aurora holds their.workers responsible for their actions.
