About the business
AlzBetter has created a comprehensive program focused on caring for the individual diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and a related dementia, as well as their family and caregivers. Our program is comprised of dementia evaluation and staging, training of the caregiving team, technology enabled dementia tool set, and caregiver stress test and reduction. In addition, a Community Health Coach is available to you assist with a needs based training system.....We've tried to think of everything knowing the journey of caring for someone with dementia has many challenges including a family portal offering insightful videos.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE. AlzBetter provides caring and compassionate Community Health Coaches and aides who are highly trained in helping families provide better care for their loved one, while reducing the stress on the care partners. How are we accomplishing this? Utilizing specially trained dementia coaches and aides, we focus not only on the care of the person with dementia, but with all parties involved. Measuring the level of stress for those involved in care allows us, through sophisticated technology, to recognize the signs of an impending catastrophic reaction from the diagnosed individual. Because, when not addressed prior to the behavior or reaction escalating, a family's stress is only exacerbated. Further, our technology, including a daily Quality of Life Survey, taking ten seconds to complete, enables us to proactively head off medical issues which may cause emergency room visits and hospitalizations. Other features of our proprietary tools identify which medications may have adverse effects on people with dementia. Consulting your physician, who may recommend small medication changes, may make a world of difference in the functioning and behavior of people with dementia. Dementia specific activities, designed by our team of experts including reading books, puzzles, and art/activity books adapt to the current level of dementia. Only AlzBetter has these tools. The Family Portal offers more suggestions for general and specific issues germane to caring for an individual with dementia. Increasing your knowledge about the disease, coupled with our help in coordinating community resources, assists you in facing the challenges, as well as celebrating the positive outcomes, that accompany this journey.
