Serving Garfield County, Colorado with locations in New Castle and Glenwood Springs, we offer music lessons to all ages. Performance recitals are held once or twice per year, offering students the opportunity to prepare and showcase their progress. Typical lessons run 30 minutes, piano lessons being offered on a grand piano. Group lesson options are available on guitar and ukulele.
All lessons come with lesson materials provided. Students can expect to receive a well-rounded approach that includes study of technique, theory, literature and performance. Presently in his 30th year of teaching piano, Jeff Van Devender focused his studies for his Masters Degree in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music on Piano Pedagogy and Elementary Music. His book "Piano Lessons: An In-Depth Look For New Instructors" has served as a useful tool for many fellow music educators since it was first published in 2014. Jeff also recently served as the state chairman for Colorado Music Educators Association in Elementary General Music and has recorded six cd's of piano-based instrumental music, including 40 original piano compositions. He was recently recognized "Top 100" by The International Association of Independent Recording Artists (IAIRA).
