1. The Agency will perform caregiver Background checks.
Upon hiring the caregiver, the Agency will run a series of background checks. This is a 3 step process. First, a background from Washington State Patrol. Second, a DSHS approved Interim fingerprint background. Lastly, FBI fingerprint based background check.
2. The Agency offers Back-up caregivers.
When your primary caregiver call off, The Agency will send an approved and vetted caregiver so you or your loved ones will not be alone when you were expecting assistance. The Home care supervisor and RN/ Clinical director will also work as back up caregivers during inclement weather conditions as needed. You and your loved ones will not be left alone and unattended to.
3. The Agency will manage the caregiver's payroll responsibilities.
According to the IRS, if a privately hired / independent caregiver is paid more than $2,000 per year, they are considered to be a household employee, not an independent contractor. Therefore, the family hiring the independent caregiver takes on all the responsibilities of being an employer including payroll and taxes.
4. The Agency has professionally liability insurance for its employees.
This responsibility is taken out of your hands and placed on the Agency.
5. The Agency will be accessible 24 Hours a day.
To give you and your loved ones peace of mind, The Agency and the supervisors will be available 24 Hours a day to help with emergencies as needed.
