Full Time Housekeeper Needed On The Peninsula

Young entrepreneurial family with two young children and family pets, located in the Palo Alto-Atherton area is seeking a highly competent housekeeper with a high level of confidentiality and respect for family's privacy. One who is capable of working on a team and reports to the executive housekeeper/house manager. The main role consists of: keeping households clean, organized and in excellent condition. Maintaining and managing household inventories. Notifying Lead Housekeeper of any necessary repairs in the homes or for appliances. Running household errands such as grocery shopping, shopping for household supplies and any requests as needed. Assisting with parties and gatherings which includes any errands, extra shopping, and day after cleanings. All other duties as assigned. Experience working for a high net worth home around a family (required) Good communication skills ability to understand clearly, text messages, emails Must be okay with grey area and able to seek out the knowledge to do something when they are un-certain Experience working in a house using green cleaners what products would they use in the case of this situation? Flexibility to make changes on schedule and work overtime if needed EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS -3 or more years in working in a private home with verifiable references QUALIFICATIONS Experience working in a private home Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities Ability to understand owner preferences/expectations Ability to communicate effectively with staff Trustworthiness and integrity, always acting in the best interests of the owner Respect for, and emphasis on, confidentiality and privacy in regard to the owner's private life RESPONSIBILITIES Keeping households clean, organized and in excellent condition Maintaining and managing household inventories Notifying Lead Housekeeper of any necessary repairs in the homes or for appliances Running household errands such as grocery shopping, shopping for household supplies and any requests as needed Assisting with parties and gatherings which includes any errands, extra shopping, and day after cleanings Other responsibilities include, but not limited to: Sweep and mop floors Vacuum and clean carpets, rugs, draperies and upholstery Schedule routine shampoo appointments for carpets, rugs, draperies and upholstery Dust clean, and polish furniture, fixtures and fittings, clean surfaces Empty and clean trash containers disposing of trash in a sanitary manner Clean basins, mirrors, tubs and showers Tidy rooms, make up beds and change linens, as required Wash windows, as required Sort, wash, load and unload laundry Iron and press laundry including clothing and linen Sort, fold and put away clean laundry Manage dry cleaning pick up and deliveries Operate cleaning equipment, as required Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in safe and sanitary working conditions Purchase groceries and household supplies to maintain inventory Maintain records of related expenditure and submit receipts Care for household pets schedule and take to appointments, purchase food and make sure inventory is stocked Wash dishes, clean kitchen and appliances Maintain organized garages Maintain organized outdoor areas including covering BBQ's when away from the house as well as putting on furniture covers as necessary (out of town, weather, etc.) Answer door/telephone professionally Other duties as needed Hours - 8am to 4pm Salary Amount or Range $35/hr DOE, 401K, Personal health Stipend, daily lunches, full Medical, dental, vision for family, paid vacation and holiday etc.
