Babysitter - Possibly Future Nanny

I am currently a senior in high school and will be graduating June of 2013. My experience with children goes back to seventh grade. I became a leader for 3 - 5-year-old children in Awana at my church. It was also the same year my neighbors had their second child. I would go over and for a couple dollars I would play with the 4-year-old while the baby slept and their mom cleaned. I also started working in the nursery at the same church. When eighth grade rolled around, I went to girls' club - girls third grade through sixth grade. During freshman year, I started babysitting for the same family previously mentioned frequently. In my sophomore year, I continued with nursery on Sunday at church. On Monday, I did the girls' club. I also picked up junior high girls group on Wednesdays. I was a leader for a group of sixth and seventh grade girls, it was a blast. I continued to babysit for the same family and it turned into taking the girls to classes at the local YMCA, park district and picking them up from school. I also went on vacations to Florida and Canada with them to help watch the girls and for pure fun! Then, I added to the craziness and started to teach the 18 - 36-month-old Sunday school room at church. As a senior, we switched churches, and I currently watch the same two girls who are now 10 and 5. We enjoy going to the park, going to the local pools in the summer, working on home work, making dinner, making games out of our chores and spending time watching movies when we are not running to swimming, self defense, or to the store. Through-out all four years of high school, I have taught in the preschool and enjoyed every moment of it. Currently in the preschool, my big project for the rest of this semester and next semester is incorporating iPads into learning, but helping the children learn reading and writing skills in a fun and interactive way. I have also been a part of FCCLA as a sophomore and now as a senior. In any spare time, I enjoy taking the two girls to the park to do photography with them and just for some fun! My plans for the future are not fully set out. I am planning on going to community college for about two years. I want to major in Education and specifically preschool through third grade. My second job choice would be pediatric oncology nurse. As you can tell either way, my job will have something to do with children and helping them grow.
