I have an outstanding track record for both helping students achieve exemplary school grades & standardized test scores. I prefer long term tutor-student relationships. I am a graduate from Penn State and an AP computer science teacher. I am licensed in high school mathematics, engineering & technology, comp science, English, and ESL. I have been a teacher and tutor for many years, ranging in grade level from Pre-K to 8th grade. I have helped children of all ages, but my forte is with preschool children. I help them in getting ready to enter kindergarten with the educational, emotional, and social skills they will need for a strong foundation to love the learning . Currently, I am tutoring two kindergarten students, helping them keep up with math and reading. I am a piano teacher and I also teach tennis, two of my favorite hobbies. I am also an ESL child specialist, as well as being able to teach English to adults. Recently, I have been homeschooling two girls for the past three years, as well as private tutoring for a 3rd, 5th and 6th grader. We worked on math skills, reading and phonics skills, as well as science projects. A program we worked on was for the state testing, and the children were well prepared for the questions posed to them and how to process these questions, as well as time management skills, which are necessary in testing. Home schooling is a great way to educate your children. I home schooled two brothers, from the Boston Red team, last spring, very rewarding and the boys had a fun time learning in the fundamental ways as well as creatively. Private tutoring is also so beneficial to your child's progress, targeting those areas where they really need one on one help. I have my background check and fingerprinting done.

I have an undergraduate degree in chemistry from Penn State, a master's degree in chemistry from Harvard, and a master's degree in education from the University of Houston. I have 19 years of experience teaching college general and organic chemistry, mostly at HCC, as well as 4 years of experience teaching high school physical sciences and pre-calculus mathematics. I am the author of a medieval adventure series for teens and young adults which can be found online. I have tutored students as young as 10, mostly in math and science. I typically charge $20/hr.

I have 30 years plus experience teaching elementary students in all subjects. I am also available to tutor middle school, high school and adult students in English, Reading, Writing, and Composition. I have also worked with all ages of students from Kindergarten to Adult who are English-Second-Language Students. I've tutored children who spoke no English at all and have had great success. In 2012, I also worked with an adult lady from Spain who spoke little English. She progressed well and learned quickly. I've gone into the schools, into students' homes. I am an experienced teacher and tutor with my Master of Science in Education. I have a passion for working with children and have experience as an academic tutor with students in both the private and public school system. I am currently seeking tutoring positions for all elementary, junior high subjects, adult language learners, as well as high school math, science, and history. Hello! I spent the past year tutoring for a pre-school and 1st grade student covering early literacy skills, reading fluency and comprehension, math, STEAM, fine and gross motor skills, and Spanish language. Previously, I worked as an elementary teacher at Manassas City Public Schools from August 2018-June 2020. I utilized flexible lesson planning and pacing to meet needs of a varied-level classroom with 27+ students. Additionally, I differentiated instruction for ESOL students, learning support students, and students with autism. Before that I substitute taught in Pennsylvania from Jan. 2017-June 2018. I held a long-term kindergarten teacher position from November 2017-January 2018. Over the summer months in college, I was a camp counselor at the YWCA of Westmoreland County, PA. I have over 5 years experience as a paid tutor for grades pre-k to graduate school. My strengths include math, science and computer programming the latter of which I know and can teach over 12 languages. While those are my strengths I can also tutor a wide variety of other subjects. I went to PSU main campus and graduated in 2011. I worked in California for 8 years following that and am now back in Pennsylvania tutoring on the side. I am happy to work with any client so we can do tutoring remote if desired due to current Covid 19 concerns. I can provide professional tools and materials as well as progress summaries for each session.
