You MUST speak Mandarin, no others considered at this time. We have 2 boys, 6. 5 & 9, and a girl who is 4. The boys are in school until 3 and the girl until 12:30. You will pick them up from school, play, sing songs, go for walks with the 4yo. Then pick up boys at 3pm, bring home or to other activities, help prep dinner on Mondays/Wednesdays, and help teach them Mandarin. Both boys are in a summer camp now, they previously attended a school, and are now taking online courses. Our daughter is also taking online classes and will attend an school next fall. They do not speak/understand very much. There is no housecleaning, only tidying up after kids, putting their laundry away, etc. Hours are Monday/Wednesday/Friday. 12:30-5:30 in Portola Valley. We also provide a car for transporting kids.

Portola Valley family needs help for a 3rd grade girl. We will be using the school curriculum and need someone to hang our with our daughter while she works, make sure she is signed into classes, assist with homework, answer questions and make sure all her homework is completed and submitted to her teacher. Someone fun and energetic who will strive to make schooling fun and engaging for her in this distance learning environment. We are very COVID cautious, so want someone who is also following social distancing and mask wearing guidelines. We'd also like someone who will engage with our daughter and break up the 'school day' cleaning up, taking her for walks and doing art projects etc. It is possible we might consider another 3rd grade girl joining G for some days of learning.... but we are flexible on this and it is TBD. I am looking for a private educator to work with my 5-year-old, who was planning to enter kindergarten this fall. She is curious, hard-working and needs a lot of stimulation! She will have distance learning assignments from school, but will need help navigating them and having supplemental engagement. She can be more than a bit of a perfectionist and does best with someone who can balance that out with encouragement and patience. This role would be for a few hours a day at our home, with all parties taking appropriate health and safety precautions (to be discussed and agreed upon before start to ensure mutual comfort).
