About

Come outside and play, adventure awaits! Since 1887, Trail Blazers programs have provided opportunities for children to connect to nature, to themselves, and to each other. Join us and our staff from all around the world as we unplug from technology to explore and adventure together:

BROOKLYN DAY CAMP (Grades PreK-5)
Nature in our city awaits! We ll leave the screens at home for unplugged experiences full of play, learning, and nature. From our home base in Prospect Park, we ll explore nature in our city through weekly themes. Aftercare and subway drop-off options help make getting your camper to camp easier for our working parents.

OVERNIGHT CAMP (Grades 1-10)
1000 forested acres await! Your camper will connect to nature at our rustic site, where accommodations include canvas shelters instead of cabins. We ll swim and fish in Lake Mashipacong, learn outdoor survival skills, and go on a multi-day backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail. Of course there will be s mores and tons of camp songs. Specialty camps include rock climbing, canoeing, biking, farmstead, and leaders-in-training.

Both of Trail Blazers summer camp programs are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). Be sure to reach out to us to find out about Open Houses and Info Sessions, where you can meet our staff in person and learn more about our programs.

UNDER ONE SKY AFTER SCHOOL (Grades PreK-5)
Bringing the camp magic to children year-round! We learn about stewarding our community while connecting to each other and making new friends. Trail Blazers' After School currently runs at P.S. 139, P.S. 770, P.S. 705, P.S. 316, P.S. 241, and P.S. 375 in Brooklyn. Contact us to bring Trail Blazers' After School to your school!

SCHOOL BREAK CAMPS (Grades PreK-5)
When school is out, camp is in! Day and Overnight Camp options are great for connecting to nature in a different season. Just be sure to bundle up your campers! We believe in being outdoors, including for winter fun. As they say, there is no such thing as bad weather, just inadequate clothes
