I am a Middle Tennessee native whose passion is working with kids! I began babysitting about 10 years ago, and my love for teaching and learning led me to pursue a degree in Special Education at MTSU. After volunteering at a preschool and student teaching in elementary and high school settings, I graduated college in 2014 and began teaching 5th grade at a public school in Franklin. The summer between college and full time employment, I cared part-time for a nonverbal, semi-ambulatory young adult at her home. I have been employed to teach students with and without disabilities in small- and large-group settings since August of 2014. My experience in caring for, motivating, and teaching children has given me a desire to seek part-time or full-time employment that provides an opportunity for me to help children grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially.

Whitney is amazing caregiver. She started with us when she was 12 as a mommy's helper, when we had two children. She spent more time with us and her responsibilities grew over the years - we added three more children, including one with special needs. She made every effort to understand his needs and did a fantastic job! She felt more like part of our family than just a babysitter - She even went on vacation with us a few times. I would highly recommend her!
