I worked in a group home type setting taking care of mentally handicapped/retarded adults. My responsibilities included: bathing/feeding, performing proper hygiene, dressing, taking to and from doctor appointments, giving them their medications, house cleaning and meal preparation. I have also taken care of an Autistic child for the past 11 yrs, she was 12 yrs old when I started, and 23 yrs old when I finished. I am currently enrolled with a Learning Center to receive certificates in special areas of interest such as Dementia and Alzheimer's, Seniors and Aging, Infection Control, and so forth. Thanks!
