I'm a registered nurse who worked in emergency rooms for 16 years, with the last 6 in a pediatric ER. My husband and I also took in medically fragile foster infants and toddlers. They came to us as young as 3 days to as old as 3 years. At this point in my life I am semi-retired from nursing and have closed my home for any further foster children. I still want to work with my first love, and that is babies. Ever since I was a child myself, if my mother had company and they had a baby, you could bet I was holding that baby. I am a wife and mother, but they are hard to hold when they are 30. I have tons of experience with healthy as well as developmentally delayed infants and toddlers. Therefore, I have a lot of knowledge about what things babies should be doing and ways to encourage those skills. I believe in age appropriate stimulation, classical music and lots of love.
