I'm passionate about being a caregiver because I came from a small Island in the Indian Ocean called Seychelles where healthcare is limited. I moved here 10 years ago with my mother, and seeing all the different opportunities that they have here makes me want to help those in need, especially the elderly. I wish that my grandmother was here to have that same treatment but since she's not then I want to share that love and attention to other grandmothers or grandfathers who needs it. In a previous position I've assisted with light housekeeping, light cooking, engaging in simple conversations, learning about the other person and just being a good companion. Bottom line is I love working with the elderly community.

I met Tatarina when she was a senior at Framingham High School, and was part of a mentoring program. I was assigned to be her mentor, to provide guidance, career counseling and be a trusted adult sounding board in her life. Over the years it has been my privilege to watch her mature into a young woman with clear consistent career goals. She does not let any challenges stand in her way, but has risen to overcome them. She is goal oriented, a quick learner, always with a smile on her face (to make others feel at ease). She also wants to be a positive role model for her younger sisters. Tatarina has a caring, compassionate heart, which would be a wonderful asset in the helping field.
