I myself have a child with special needs, so I have hands-on experience. He is 7 years old. He brought me to studying Psychology. There, I found a great passion and understanding of how much I knew already and how much I love this field. I love to help out in the class room. I have had the opportunity of being involved in occupational therapy and was taught other things to enhance motor skills and tactility issues. I took care of a kids with special needs (down syndrome) when I was younger as well.
