I am very passionate about working with special needs. The reason being is because I love working with people, which sounds cliche. However, I am going into social work, therefore people are my passion. I worked previously through Macomb Family Services as a direct care worker. It was in a group home setting with 6 consumers. They have developmental and mental disabilities. I cooked, cleaned, showered them, helped them maintain hygiene and took them out to do activities such as going out to eat or to the park.
