I obtained my BS in general education/ special education with English minor from SUNY college At Old Westbury and am currently working toward my Masters in Literacy B-2 years. I have worked 5 years as a director in a theater program for elementary and high school youths. In the past, I have worked at a daycare in Merrick with children from infant age to toddler. I have done extensive volunteering at an autism center and various schools in my area which address the special needs of children. I have worked closely with children affected by autism and autism spectrum disorders. I have also worked 2 years in the public school setting as a teacher.
