I'm a 21-year-old, Special Education major. I have been babysitting children of all ages for about 8 years (since I was 13 years old). I have also tutored children of all ages and skill levels. I also have some experience working with special needs children. I have some experience working with the special needs kids at my high school. I formed amazing friendships with the kids I worked with there; they helped me discover what my passion is in life and inspired me to pursue a career in special education. I am very passionate about children with special needs. Three summers ago, I worked with a very high functioning 19-year-old girl with Down syndrome. We did all kinds of activities throughout the summer while her parents were at work. This past summer, I worked with a 9-year-old with Smith-Magenis syndrome, caring for him while his parents were working. This job was one of the best experiences in my whole entire life. It was awesome. I'm hoping to find employment through this site again! I am available for part of December and January, so I would definitely be able to care for your children during Christmas break while they are out of school! I look forward to hearing from you!
