Hello! My name is Petrina and I have been an educator in one sense of the word or another for the last 8 years. I have worked as a special needs teacher's aide in a middle school, where I assisted special needs kids throughout the school day. I taught preschool for the last 2 years and had several children in my class with special needs. This year I am going back to school for a Masters in Occupational Therapy and have been babysitting for a non-verbal autistic boy on the weekends. I feel comfortable with any and all kiddos and they almost always feel comfortable with me!

Petrina is wonderful. Currently she helps us on the weekends with our 2.5 year-old son who suffered a traumatic brain injury. The job is pretty demanding and requires attention to detail (lots of meds), good common sense and ability to learn new things (he has a feeding tube) and lots of patience. She has all of these characteristics and takes her job very seriously. She is a good person and a joy to be around. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for special needs or regular childcare.
