My name is Patrick, a 25 year resident of Garden Oaks, and a certified teacher with 30 years of experience with autistic children in public school settings. I also participated in a mentoring program for 20 years through a local school district. I recently took an early retirement to enter the private sector. I provide many past experiences, excellent references, a spotless background check, great care for kids ages 2 - 21, and peace of mind for families. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. Although, my focus is on autism, I also work with typical children on an as needed/as available basis for sitting occasionally and I provide Respite Care for families of children with any disability or long term illness, ranging from a minimum of 3 hours and up to 48 hours. I work one-on-one in the family home for basic skills, social skills and self-help skills. I also work one-on-one within a group at private schools to monitor behaviors and write a behavior plan. I have impeccable references including 2 child psychologists and 2 parents of children I am currently working with. One child is 6 and the other is 8. Also, an autism advocates program has added me to their resource guide. I have consulted with daycare facilities and parochial schools.
