I have worked for the school districts and at home care. I have worked under the direction of teachers, occupational therapists, social workers and other administration to insure the success of the child. One of my job descriptions is to give one on one learning to children with special needs. This includes but is not limited to, help with academic tasks (completing assignments), insuring the safety of the child throughout the day, following through on behavior plans, applying sensory diets, helping with redirection as needed to accomplish tasks and meet goals. I also help teachers with supervision of classes, recess and lunch duty. I have had experience with group work 5+ kids doing reading, art projects and lessons (under the direction of the teacher and certified staff). I am fully capable of receiving instructions and following through as directed accepting help when I am unable to complete the task given.
