I am a compassionate skilled caregiver who can work with the elderly, children, or just helping a family with both. I worked as a live-in assistance for an 86-year-old man with COPD for one year. I also lived in for 3-4 days a week for an Alzheimer's patient which was demanding but very rewarding. In both venues, I did meal planning, cooking, monitoring overall day-to-day activities, blood sugar testing, transportation, supervision of medication, companionship, and attendance at doctor's visits. I am very compassionate, patient, bright and enjoy doing this work immensely. I also consult for prostate cancer patients, doctors, and others and still do this work part-time as it is rewarding and something I am very good at.
