I began working as a substitute teacher in 2009 for multiple school districts. I used to work in a mild/moderate SDC classroom for an elementary school. Our class included children with a variety of challenges including Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, heart defects, blindness and deafness. I currently worse in a more intense SDC classroom for San Ramon Unified. This has given me additional experience with moderate to severe autism, emotional disturbance, and implementing behavior plans. While studying Business in college, I supported myself with babysitting and tutoring jobs, which influenced me to enter the credential program. Since then, I have pursued my interest in the special needs education work.
