I have been in the early childhood field for approximately 11 years and have worked closely with children from birth to school-age, including those with special needs. I have been employed for the past nine years at a local non-profit children's enrichment center, training care giving staff, managing daily operations and supervising the quality care of 250 children daily. Currently, I am working on completing my bachelor's degree in child development at U of A, Fayetteville. I will graduate next year, and hope to enter the child development master's program soon after. In addition to a near-complete bachelor's degree, I also have approximately 1000 hours of certified training as an early childhood professional including special needs, and provided approximately 700 hours of training to adult professionals in the field. As a trainer for early childhood providers, I have spent the past nine years staying up to date on child development research, best practice and quality instruction. In addition, I am a certified infant/child CPR and First Aid instructor for the American Red Cross and currently certify approximately 200 early childhood professionals in the area. This enables me to provide a safe, developmentally nurturing environment for young children to thrive.
