I have had the pleasure to care for many children in my 15 years experience, with specialties ranging from newborn and infant care to physical and developmentally challenged young adults. I have had a very special work relationship with a young man with cerebral palsy and autism for over 2 years. I have worked with other special needs children and their families in Westchester, Putnam and Fairfield Counties. I worked as a nanny for a family of three children in Litchfield County from 1999 to 2008, from the birth of their first child until the last went into full time kindergarten. I enjoy spending time with young people and the opportunity to experience the world through the eyes of each unique child. I have a degree in developmental psychology from the University of Western Connecticut, with a minor in fine art; painting. I have experience giving medication and implementing behavioral change plans as well as feeding, bathing, dressing and other direct care needs. I work as part of the family, with an emphasis on education, behavior, and creative fun.
