In past years I have worked closely with a wonderful little girl on the autism spectrum, as well as a boy with type one diabetes and ADHD and a teenager with sever dyslexia. The 10 year-old girl with autism was a brilliant and sweet girl who saw the world in a very black and white way. She had a hard time socializing with her peers. The 11-year-old boy with type 1 diabetes and ADHD was hard to keep focused as well as needed a lot of maturing, but a lot of football throwing between math problems helped him a lot! And I'm still working with the 15-year-old with sever dyslexia, she is very bright and knows how to problem solve but we have to work hard with multistory problems. I love them all very much and they have all progressed so much!
