For the past year I have worked full time and part time as a teaching assistant at a day school for children with severe special needs and medical needs in Brighton. I am familiar with the use of feeding tubes, monitoring seizures, and assisting children between the ages of 3 and 21 with ADLs. I have a few weeks shadowing a pediatric occupational therapist who specialized in the treatment of children with autism and sensory integration disorder. I hope to eventually work as a pediatric occupational therapist and have therefore greatly enjoyed both of these opportunities and look forward to many more!
