I have been lucky enough to be acquainted with several individuals with developmental needs while employed through two agencies over the past two and a half years. I have received numerous certifications and trainings during this time, but learned the most from the individuals themselves who taught me that if you look closely you will find that we all have more in common than we are different, and everyone possesses their own special and unique gift, if your willing to accept it. Many are simply misunderstood, and need only a patience, love, and understanding to let their true beauty shine through.
