I have been working with children and youth at the age of 14 as a neighborhood babysitter. This job took me up until high school. Upon arriving at college in Canton, NY I began working for a daycare, a small family daycare. I worked with and supervised up to 15 children ranging from 5 months old to 14 years old for 4 years. During college, I traveled to Kenya where I worked at a school teaching lessons to underprivileged middle school children. After college, I began teaching violin lessons to 8 young students, ranging from 4 years to 13 years old. I also traveled to Armenia where I worked with homeless children and also taught English to middle and high school students. Working with youth is very important to me as I believe all children and youth need good care and attention in order to feel confident and capable in this world. I believe in energetic support, patience and creative exploration with children in what makes them happy and comfortable.
