I've been involved in various ways with the population for the past 7 years. In high school, I volunteered with a therapeutic recreation program and absolutely loved it. It was then that I realized my passion to help people with disabilities. In college, I was highly active in a club called Best Buddies. This club provides one-to-one friendships with people with disabilities. I have also previously worked as a recreation leader for a therapeutic recreation camp, been a teacher's aide in a classroom for children with autism, a personal care attendant, and an assistant in a challenger baseball program. I would love to continue my passion by helping others in the community.

I hired Lisa to watch my teenage son for one week this summer. My teenager is autistic, and Lisa has a lot of experience working with special needs children. She was wonderful, and I would hire her again. She planned out a calendar of events for him for the week that included the park, the movies, bowling and the petting zoo. She also helped him as he worked on his math and reading books. My son loved her. She also took the time to call me at work or text me to give me updates on how their day was going. I highly recommend Lisa.
