My mom worked with special needs children for 15 years and I grew up being around them. Also when I was in high school I worked with special need children a lot. I was also going to school to teach special needs children. There is something about them that makes you look at life different, in a fantastic way. They get so excited when they accomplish something, and teaching them how to do something is the best feeling, because it doesn't matter if you are working with them for five hours on how to do something when they figure out how to do it it on feels like five minutes. They light up my day by being around them. Each child that has a special need looks a life with huge eyes and they have the biggest heart in the world, I believe. I would love the opportunity to work with a special needs child. They have a way of making your heart full, and really enjoy life.
