Hello my name is Laurie and I am 36-years-old. I am a nationally registered Advanced EMT with certifications in (CPR/First Aid, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Life Support, Geriatric Medical Emergencies, Prehospital Medical/Trauma and was rewarded by the American Heart Association a 2010 cardiac lifesaver award. I have worked as a 911 provider and as a hospital EMS on an ambulance; in addition to hospital and office care as well. I am also a nationally Registered Medical Assistant that has specialized in care of cancer and hematology patients and urgent care settings. When I first went to college, I did obtain an Associate's Degree in Business (1998). I am looking to care for someone either part-time or full-time. I am still employed on an ambulance on an "as needed" basis. I am a mother of a 7-year-old boy, live in Acworth (near Kennesaw) have a sweet miniature dachshund, and have a great love and compassion for medical and caregiving work. I am well educated, responsible, reliable, have own transportation, and house. I am willing to come to you or take care of person in my own home during the day or evening (kinda like babysitting) :). I am familiar with Stomas, pacemakers, vents, NG tubes, IV's, medications, oxygen, Foley caths, and cancer ports. I love to care for infants if someone needs a babysitter.
