I have nearly 20 years of working with special populations between volunteering and 13 years of secondary teaching. What does not come instinctively as a mom and teacher, I am willing to learn. I believe there is dignity in every man, woman, and child. I am passionate about providing superior care with compassion in mind. Assistive technology is definitely a love of mine. I do utilize basic command signs including baby signing as a mom. My main goal in working with a family is to offer safe, knowledgeable and proven care. I will require that my 13-month-old daughter accompany me as well; she is delightful and easy going. In working with children, I know she will be an asset to creating a family environment. I have know Lauren as both a friend from church for about 7 years and also as an employee in our preschool program. Lauren was employed during the 2011 - 2012 school year as a Teacher Assistant in the Transitional Kindergarten program. She brings a good working knowledge of special needs children and classroom management in addition to her enthusiasm for the children and education. Lauren has a very out going personality and is dedicated to seeing children succeed and her strong faith life helps to keep her balanced.
