Hello! I would like to start out saying that I love to work with children, they are blank slates, completely new and fresh with positivity and love, we need to spend more time focusing our time nurturing and supporting children with positive independent goals from an early age. We are so focused on all the negativity in the world when we really need to focus more on the beauty in the minds of the ones growing up to run our world. I have been working with children since I was about 10 years old. I've always been the mother hen wanting to take care of people and the first one to jump in to play a game or interact with a child. I have a very playful personality and don't like to sit. I am a kid at heart as well as a parent at heart. Right now, I am too young to have children of my own, but my goal is to be able to be a positive change and support in the growth of children for as long as I can. I have been volunteering with children through the Girl Scouts since I was 10y/o and I am still active. Since 2010 up until this year, I worked for a company supporting individuals with disabilities help experience meaningful lives. I spent most of my time in a residential facility working with kids and teens diagnosed with Autism. Working with people with D. D. has helped change who I am, the way I see the world and taught me how to open my eyes to the view of others. Making that special connection with a child with a disability - opening your world to life and possibilities out of the realm your used to is such a beautiful experience. Seeing the growth, the change, the effort, the trust in the eyes of a child is a powerful experience, but to have those moments with a child with disabilities and helping connect them to the world is nothing short of unbelievable. I stand by my values and stand by all the lives I've been a part of in the short amount of time I have been in this world. I would love nothing more, than to help families and their children in this craziness we call life.
