Miss Kylen T. has worked with my son for about 10 months. My son has ASD and ADHD with Seizure Disorder, Severe Eczema, and seasonal allergies. He is also non-verbal. He is seven and receives special ed in the public school and also goes for therapy almost daily. Ms Kylen was responsible for taking my son to/from therapy, observe his interaction with the therapist and replicate the same techniques and integrate those into activities at home. She was also responsible for observing my son at school with his teacher and make sure that his therapist and school teacher were using the same techniques to work with my son. This is very important as a child can easily get confused with different communication techniques. Ms Kylen was also responsible for taking my son to summer camps, swimming lessons and other activities such as biking and play in the playground. She was responsible for his well-being, feeding, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene. My son was not potty trained when Ms Kylen started working with us. She worked with my son's teacher and outside therapist to get him potty trained through consistent use of the Foxx-Azrin method. I consider this potty training as one of her major achievements. She has also contributed towards his swimming training to a huge extent by getting into water with him during his lessons and help him learn the basics of swimming. She also helped him learn riding a training bike. Some of Ms Kylen's remarkable qualities are being always punctual and proactive. She has never been late for any of my son's appointments and if she ever got in a traffic situation, etc. She would always let us know asap that she was running late. Unlike other employees who require micro-managing (I had some of those!), she is someone who will proactively observe the situation and fix things on her own without my supervision. Providing care for special needs children is a demanding job and I believe not everyone has the patience and perseverance to take on a job like this. Ms Kylen has a heart for special needs children and she has done a superb job with our son. The only reason she is not working for us right now is because she had to move out of town to go for her under-grad studies. I would strongly recommend Kylen for anyone's special care needs. Sincerely, Sajjad K.
