I grew up with my mom babysitting. By the time I was 12, I was babysitting my newborn nephew for entire weekends at a time. I do not have any children of my own, nor am I ready! But in the meantime, I do love children and they love me as well! Being a nanny fulfills my motherly needs. I demand respect but I also have fun with them and try to teach them good values at every opportunity I can. I was also a mentor/tutor in high school for elementary school students, I worked as a summer camp counselor for the YMCA, and am currently a volunteer with a non profit organization that tutors underprivileged children from families of abuse as a mentor/tutor for abused/neglected children. I believe in allowing children to develop their own voice naturally and not push them to be competitive or egotistical. I know a lot about nutrition and health and I know I'd be a great nanny for some children! I have been described by the people around me as a gentle and nurturing person. I am kind and easy going, which is why children respond so well to me. I do not yell at children (or anyone), but I am consistent and resilient. To the child, I am very attentive, interactive, creative, fun, and caring. I value and uphold the parent's ideals and rules for raising their child. I teach, feed, potty train, bathe, discipline, and play according to parents' wishes and schedule. Thank you for your time! I hope to see if we are a match!
