Hi, my name is Kristen. Along with having my bachelors degree in family studies and human services I have been working with children with special needs, mainly autism, for the last year and a half and honestly I really enjoy it! As well as my professional time with special needs children I also have 2 children in my family with autism, one of which my husband and I are very close to and we spend a lot of time with him including sleepovers and we have a lot of fun! I understand how time consuming and extra patience can go into working with a child with special needs but along with that there is a lot of reward the first time that little light bulb finally goes on with something, and their milestones reached are that much more exciting! I genuinely have a special place in my heart for children with autism.
