I work full-time through this summer. Once the school year begins, I will have my counseling internship M-W and class Thursday evenings 4-6 p.m. I will have sporadic evening, weekend, and some Th-F daytime availability. I'm not available for any regular after school care aside from particular days. I am seeking a steady part-time Thursday/Friday child care job. I am a 29-year-old third year graduate student studying Counseling (school and community). I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from VT. I absolutely love children, and have been engaged in child care professionally for over 15 years. I had an internship in labor and delivery at a hospital while in high school and handled/cared for newborns. Right after college, I worked at a residential mental health facility for kids 8 years old to 18 years old for over two years where I held a supervisory position in of one of three units and worked with children with a variety of mental health and developmental issues. Then, I worked full-time for a non-profit organization (I am still a PRN staff there) where I provided supports to persons with various physical and mental disabilities in their homes. I own my own insured SUV and am CPR/First Aid certified. I was also certified as a lifeguard '07 to '09. I get my annual flu shot and have all pertinent child care and health care related vaccines. I am available to be a special needs provider.
