I started working with special needs children in eighth grade. My passion only continued to grow throughout high school and college. In high school, I had the opportunity to teach a preschool class where the surrounding district children attended, including the special education preschool. I have also had countless hours of experience in special needs classrooms. Also, this past semester at school, I completed my professional semester in which I was in a general education first grade classroom for the last six weeks of the semester. It was fabulous! I love everything about general ed and special ed! I have taken a class on Applied Behavior Analysis in college, and have not had much experience with Autism, however I would like to because that is what I truly wish to teach!
