I am the mother of 3 wonderful children. My youngest child was born in 1997 and was diagnosed with a Non-Specific Mitochondrial Myopathy. He had failure to thrive and was developmentally delayed. He developed absent seizures around age 4. He is also bi-polar with ADHD. Currently he is doing very well and is meeting all of his age and grade milestones. I have learned a lot about special needs care giving through my son and different programs he has been involved with. I am also CPR and AED certified. I am currently working for a family with a 3 year old daughter who has Canavan's Disease.
