I have a Master's in Special Education from Fordham University. I have four years of experience, teaching at a private school for students with learning disabilities. Here, I taught grades 4th. -6th., coached basketball, baseball, weightlifting and football. For 2 years, I was working in the dorm at the same school, from 4 p.m. until bedtime; and as the residential staff were required to do, organized recreational activities after school, had dinner with the students in the dining hall, supervised a proctored study hall, and assisted the students as they prepared for bedtime. Before, I spent two years, teaching in a high school for learning disabled students, as the 9th grade Class Adviser. I have also worked in various classrooms with Bergen County Special Services Autism Continuum for 5 years, providing effective instruction to students with Autism and other related disabilities, from ages 3 to 21. All of the programs implement academic and behavioral teaching methodologies based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
