I am no longer available for regular work, occasional weekend care possible. I have experience caring for children in the mild Autism spectrum and those with similar non-verbal learning disabilities. I've also cared for children with ADHD, and with difficulties with anxiety and regulating behavior. I have cared for children born prematurely with mild physical and social/emotional developmental delays, and I have worked on home based OT and PT programs with them. I have experience with kids with food allergies and I'm comfortable with administering Epi Pens. I've worked with children with respiratory difficulties and I can set up and deliver nebs and monitor breathing difficulties. I briefly worked with a child with diabetes and I'm confident in my ability to pick up those cares again. I'm practiced at administrating medications and I'm comfortable learning new cares and accommodations. I believe that caring for kids with special needs requires extra patience and understanding but that the rewards can be twice as great as well.
