33 years experience working with special needs children and adults in most areas of need. Have worked with all levels of special needs within the classroom, in summer residential camps, and in private tutoring. Was caregiver for both my elderly mother and adult brother with Downs until their deaths from congestive heart failure within a year of each other. One son is hearing impaired and the other has ADD/ADHD. I have a lot of experience with individuals with Bi-Polar Disorder and some psychiatric needs. I also work with children and adults with TBI. I am a 33 year experienced teach SpEd teacher, mother of 23-year-old twins, grandmother/guardian of our 4-year-old grandson, an owner of 4 dogs, 3 cats each rescued and experience with reptiles, ferrets, amphibians, and birds. I have a loving and compassionate heart.
