My name is Joshua and I have over 25 years of patient care experience. My specialty area are those individuals with neuromuscular deficiencies and those with immunocompromised disease and illnesses. I was a licensed medic for 15 years where I decided to switch to less acute care. I have had my Maryland Nursing Assistant license since 1998. I am a phlebotomist, carry my American Heart Association BLS Certification. I am fully boosted and updated with regard to COVID-19 vaccines (documented). I also obtain a yearly flu shot and practice some social distancing when available. My experience spans from minimal companion care to participating into a care plan. I have experience in; ostomy and stoma care, wound care and prevention, indwelling and self catheterization assistance. I have experience in other home based care services that can be discussed one on one. Should you be interested in speaking, please feel free to reach out. Thank you for your time!

Josh is AMAZING, both as a caregiver and as a human. He is warm, funny, kind, and self-motivated. He has spent time reading up on my son's condition in his own time as well to better understand his needs and limitations. Josh instituted a stretching program for my son(who is physically disabled and in a wheelchair full time) without my even asking, and my son, who is reluctant to bond with new people took to him almost instantly. He has also been the perfect combination of kind and firm with my son's behavioral difficulties and has helped me work through some disciplinary ideas. Josh is also very good at knowing when to step in with ideas for improving daily structure without overstepping or being pushy. I am horribly saddened that we are moving out of state and will no longer have him in our lives, if I was independently wealthy I'd just take him with us! We are so glad to have met him, his help has been indispensable. Hire him and I guarantee you'll be so thankful you did.
